1. What actions have you personally taken to support a greener, more sustainable climate?
I am not sure how much of what you are asking is about me, or our Township. I have tried to lessen my environmental footprint, with some success, but with much more to do. My daughters are especially effective critics …
2. What opportunities for climate leadership at the municipal level (e.g. greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs)) would you champion in one or more of these areas: Buildings | Housing | Land use (sprawl) | Transportation | Other
I want our Township to consider climate change as a key factor with most of our decisions. Unfortunately, I am finding opportunity for change less than I would hope. Less offensive choices are not always available. But we cannot give up.
3. A long-term problem requires a long-term solution. What is your 100-year plan? If elected, what would be your first action?
Honestly, I do not have a 100 year plan. I leave that for future generations. But I think we need to do a much better job of considering the long-term consequences of our decisions – so that future generations can actually be able to make even better decisions than us.
